Welcome to SadboyL Productions, the Premeire Mobile Dj Service created by Chicago's very own Joseph Luis Vargas aka "Dj Bounce".

SadboyL Productions specializes in "musically" creating the mood for corporate events, club openings, and a wide variety of special occasions from Miami to Chicago. We are commited inmaking your event memorable and more enjoyable than imagined!

Joseph Luis Vargas aka Dj Bounce aka SadboyL has always been around music. Growing up in Blue Island, IL, an environment where music was heard from morning till night, Bounce became exposed to a wide variety of generes including Classic Oldies, Country, Corridos, Jazz, Salsa, Disco, 80's, Freestyle, Chicago House, Classic/New/Punk Rock, R&B, and Old/New Skool Hip Hop. 70's soul especially played a big role in his upbringings as his father played it often.

Bounce learned how to please a crowd from his father. Whenever there was a house party for family and friends his father would be in total control of the music. He knew what song to play at the right moment and how to take the vibe to the next level. In addition, his father was also known for creating mix tapes for all of his friends and family.

The name Bounce was given in 1994 by his friends when he use to carry Bounce fabric softner in his pocket in order to take away the smoke scent when smoking cigarettes with his friends. The name first deemed as a joke, eventually stuck with him throughout the coming years.

Bounce didn't officially get into the dj game until 1997. After becoming an avid listener of freestyle music in 1996 and listening to many mixes created by local Chicago djs, such as Juan 2 Big Perez, Bounce became intrigued by the art of mixing. He felt that he could also create such mixes that people would enjoy and listen to all the time. Bounce knew right away that djing was something that he wanted to pursue, He began working 5 days a week after school in order to save up and purchase equipment. After 1 month, Bounce was able to afford a Technics 1200 turntable and a Numark mixer. In order to complete the set, he was able to borrow his father's 1200 turntable.

After Bounce was set with equipment, he began to practice by taking what he learned through various mixtapes that he'd listened to and applying it to his own set. He would lock himself in his room and practice for hours, wanting to make his mixes to tell a story and be clean & precise . With determination and passion for the art, Bounce recorded his first double sided freestyle mixed tape name "Sadboy/Sadgirl Volume 1." He never sold it, however he passed out many copies to friends and family. After that, Bounce went on to record 2 more freestyle mix tapes: Feeling of Desire and Girl I'm Gonna Miss You. The name SadboyL was then given to him by friends and only stuck around during his brief phase in freestyle/heart throb music.

In 1999, Bounce moved to North Miami, FL to attended Barry University. He became roomates with a Hip Hop head from New York, P Ceaser, in addition to 4 other dorm mates from Jamaica and the Islands, whom broaded his knowledge in Hip Hop and Reggae. From dusk till dawn, music could be heard and downloaded. Bounce then stepped into the new era of creating digital mix cds from his laptop, using the program Sound Forge, and passing them out to local students.

After graduating from Barry University in 2003, Bounce took a brief break from djing and moved to South Beach where he began to hit the club scene and listen to the hottest djs out at the time. In 2005 with a strong desire to get back in the dj game, Bounce attended the Scratch Academy in South Beach to regain and tighten up on his skills. Bounce then learned how to scratch from Miami's best: Dj ImmortalDj K Razor and Dj KNS.

In 2007, Bounce began performing live in front of crowds at local house parties and events. With gaining more experience and applying all of the music knowledge that he had acquired through out the years, Bounce created SadboyL Productions in 2008. His desire, which he continues to strive for, is to make any party or event memorable for the crowd.

Currently, Bounce is up and coming in the Miami Beach night life scene. You can check him at local hot spots in South Beach spinning the best of Open Format with Hip Hop infusion
